Please, sir, I want some more" is the
iconic line from Charles Dickens' Oliver Twist. It appears in Chapter 2, where a hungry

leading to his punishment...

a WTF! Mr. Sec of “war” and the military industrial complex, you send our
American citizens to the Middle East to fight and die in a war for Isreal, and
you cannot even provide these sailors with enough food! Shame on you ...
Reports
from April 2026 indicate that U.S. service members deployed on Navy
warships, including the USS Tripoli and USS Abraham Lincoln, in
the Middle East have been facing significant food shortages, meager rations,
and poor-quality meals during the conflict with Iran.
Families and service
members reported that some troops are "hungry all the time," with
many meals consisting of only small portions, such as a single tortilla and a
small amount of meat or a few boiled carrots.
· Rationing and Shortages: Sailors reported that fresh fruit and vegetables ran out, and in some cases, the coffee machines were broken.
· Suspended Mail Service: The U.S. Postal Service suspended deliveries to many military ZIP codes in the region, leaving care packages from families with food and essentials stranded and unable to reach the sailors.
· Low Morale: The conditions, combined with long, uninterrupted periods at sea, have caused morale to drop.
· Despite the Navy's denials, reports from families persisted, with some describing the meals as "rationed slop" and a "gray slab" of mystery meat.
